Get Involved

The Pretty Brown Girl (PBG) Foundation is ranked by NBC News as one of the top seven organizations dedicated to empowering girls of color, we invite you to get involved by supporting our work, volunteering during International Pretty Brown Girl Day or becoming a sponsor for our Pretty Brown Girl HBCU Scholarship Program where we seek to provide 100 Black and Brown girls with scholarships each year to attend Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU’s).

International Pretty Brown Girl Day

Annually, The Pretty Brown Girl Foundation honors its anniversary with ”International Pretty Brown Girl Day”, a daylong celebration of engagement, development and empowerment for Black and Brown girls.

International Pretty Brown Girl Day takes place each year on the fourth Saturday of February during Black History Month. Annually, we choose a theme that supports the learning and empowerment of Black and Brown girls across the globe.

Our 11th Annual Pretty Brown Girl Day Celebration will take place on Saturday, February 27, 2021. The theme is “Awaken, Align & Achieve” as we seek to help girls live the life they imagine. This year’s PBG Day will be a celebration for Black and Brown girls to create vision boards within their households or by participating in a virtual PBG Vision Board Party within their community.

What is a Virtual Pretty Brown Girl Vision Board Party?

A Virtual Pretty Brown Girl Vision Board Party is a gathering for a group of girls to come together online to create vision boards and bring their dreams to reality. This is a fun way for girls to define their dreams, while making new friends and helping others realize their dreams too.

How can I host a Pretty Brown Girl Vision Board Party?

Due to Covid-19, we do not recommend hosting any in-person celebrations. Your Virtual Pretty Brown Girl Vision Board Party can be hosted on any platform of your choice. This includes Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, etc.

Online registration for hosting a virtual PBG Vision Board Party will be announced soon. Please stay tuned on our website and social media pages (@prettybrowngirlfoundation) for more information!
